Ultrasound: Hello Baby BOY!

Ultrasound Pictures and Video from May 6th

Baby Lam on left, Aiden on right. They kind of look similar don't they!?!?

We were so excited to see this little baby again, it had been 8 weeks!  We got to spend about 30 minutes staring at the screen, watching our little baby move around, and thanking God that he was healthy!  He was moving around quite a a bit, which is always fun to see!  We left excited to tell Aiden he was going to have a baby brother!!!!

We showed him the ultrasound pictures when we got home.. he was interested, but not quite sure how THAT was his baby brother. :)

This is how we told family, friends, and the facebook world!  :)
We are so blessed to have another healthy baby boy on the way!  More than anything, I am extremely excited for Aiden to have a brother!  Bring on the running, jumping, climbing, and dirt... it's nothing we haven't experienced already :)

God Bless Baby Boys

Second Trimester Countdown

Got the flu this week, had to go into the office and be put on an IV.  :( No fun!!
Good thing that came of it.. Dr. Lyons put me on Zofran to help with the vomiting (associated with the flu and just pregnancy).  It really started helping right away!

First time hearing the heartbeat on the sonogram machine! :)  A strong 171 bpm.

Istarted feeling the baby this week!  It was SUCH an amazing feeling to know this little baby was in there moving around!!  Got the flu again this week too... ugh.

This was the week of our ultrasound!  I'll tell about it on a separate post with pictures and even some cute video!  We did find out the sex..... BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He started to move around on more of a schedule this week.  9:30 PM = busy time! And when I get worked up or excited he starts to move more too, hehe. I can't believe how strong he is already!
Jeff felt him at 19 weeks :)  His active times are still 530-630 AM and 930-1030 PM, but he is still on the move all the time. I definitely am feeling like I am carrying him a lot lower than Aiden!

I have a lot more energy now and my appetite is back in full force!  Occasionally I will get tired for a day or two, I wonder if its this little man going through a growth spurt? I am loving watching my belly morph into all shapes, it's definitely one thing I missed after Aiden was born!

We had another appointment this week.  Aiden came along since we knew it would be a quick one.  He got to hear the heartbeat, which was at 141 bpm, and giggled.  Baby brother was kicking the sonogram machine a lot and he thought that was pretty funny too :)

I did get sick this week... boo :(  I haven't had milk in my diet since pretty much the beginning, haven't been able to stomach it, and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to eat a huge oreo blizzard from DQ.  Baby DID NOT like that and it came right back up.  Ugh.. how does a girl get through summer without ice cream?!?!

There have been a few times when I've been able to feel his head/butt pushed up against my belly.  :)  I felt him have the hiccups for the first time this week, this stuff will never get old!

Aiden asks, "Hi baby, how are you feeling today?" alot.  Its so cute!  He pats my belly and rubs it sometimes too.  hehe. He's already such a great big brother!  Lilly, as you can see, is enjoying baby as well.  Makes as a nice pillow :)

We are just about headed into the third trimester.  I can't believe there are 15 weeks left.. or less if he comes a bit early.  I am anxious to meet him and have him in my arms, but I also am starting to wish it would slow down a bit.  This may be the last time I am pregnant.. ever, which makes me sad.  (Although then I think about the first few months of both pregnancies and all we have been through, and Im not AS sad... ).  Im trying to really soak this in and enjoy it!!!

Rhyming: Aiden's new favorite obsession

One day Aiden and I were talking about his hat and I started to rhyme with the word hat.  You could tell right away he was intrigued so I went into some 'easy directions' on how to rhyme.  After giving him a few examples he was off and running and hasn't looked back!  He "breaks out in rhyme" all the time now :)  Some of his favorite words to rhyme: hobby, hat, play, and poop (yes, poop), just to name a few.

Spring Events

March for Babies 2013

We love walking to support babies each year!  Aiden was old enough this year to play with the 5 Regenniter kiddos after the walk and he loved it!!  He also was a big fan of the fire trucks and police cars. :)

Tanager Fest 2013: Thumbs Up!! :)

Robins Parade:  Fire Trucks, Tractors, Suckers, Suckers, and More SUCKERS!!!

Funniness

Aiden really likes to dress himself. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it ends up like this. Shirt: little too big, tucked into the back of his shorts, and bright blue and purple. Shorts: A lot to small and navy or black. Socks: Tan, too tight, and knee socks. And let's not forget about the John Deere hat and fire boots that came later.. :)

Checking Lilly out.  He was listening to her heart... and then decided she was fine so he could ride on her.  (Look at poor Lilly's face, ha, she is doing her best to just take it.)

We found him sleeping in the hallway one night after struggling to get him to bed.  I was holding back tears and laughter when I saw him.  Poor thing.. but Hahahha!

Sometimes he likes to put hair gel in his hair like daddy. He styled it himself this day. That's a comb in his hand in case you can't tell. This kid is hilarious.

He put the tub into his gator and drove it to his swing. He then proceeded to get the tub out, place it under his swing so he could climb into his swing and buckle himself in. To wrap all this up he yelled, "Mom I'm all ready to swing now!!" :)

He was NOT not going to fit in this little car!!

Lilly was looking outside and Aiden got really close (as you can see) to her bum and kept saying, "Look at her butt, it's black. It has a hole in it! Eww!" Hahahaha

May 3rd: Aiden decided he wanted to put on his snow gear.. all of it.. and play inside. So we did just that!

It was quite cold this day: 40/50 degrees maybe. But Aiden had an idea in his head that he wanted to dump out LIlly's water on the deck and splash in it.. with no pants on. He has really great ideas sometimes.

Just so happy to be outside, driving his gator, and naked.. with only his Nikes on. Who wouldn't be?

Of course you would play in your water table this way. Duh!

Aiden came running inside and said, "Mom look at this little bug I found!"  To which I responded, "Oh that's so great." in a very sarcastic tone of voice... :)

Greatest part of this picture that was cropped out in the one above: Check out his feet.

The Great Outdoors

Winter leaves muddy messes that little boys just LOVE to play in!

How about some sledding in the leaves?

So happy to be outside without a winter coat on!!

Aiden's version of "going on a wagon ride".

The following is an example of why we won't be planting anything behind our garage this year. Aiden has decided to turn it into his personal sandbox.  Of dirt.

Enjoy....

I am so in love with this dirt-loving, worm-hunting, adventure-seeking, go-getter!!  People keep telling me he is "all boy".  I'm not sure I understood the true meaning of that phrase until it got nice out this spring!  He has always been quite the daredevil.  Very adventurous and curious.  Climbing, jumping, being loud are his things.  But now enter the muddy, dirty (dirt in places you would think would be impossible to reach), buggy, sweaty, outdoors. And you know what?  It's okay.  It's all good.  What a treat this world is with Aiden in it :)
