December Festivities

December: Tis the season

We had a wonderful month full of family, fun events, firsts, and lots and lots of love :)

And maybe a few tantrums, sleepless nights, and power struggles..

First things first.. decorating the tree!
Aiden decorated most of the tree this year. .. therefore a majority of the ornaments were on the bottom 1/4th of the tree in one spot.  And it was perfect :)

 Our own little Linus :)

There 2014 ornaments. :)

Next up:  Let's see Santa!  At a firestation, of course.
E just stared.  Aiden had to be bribed to sit on his lap.  Went well.

And then... drum roll please.. Aiden's preschool program and Sunday School program!  He did SO good!  We loved hearing him singing his songs at home and seeing him up there with his classmates performing!

This is how he entered.. and exited.  Love him.

And now: Trying to get a family picture where we are all looking at the camera and smiling.

Fail.

But these are some of faves regardless :)

And to finish up the holiday season: XMAS time at both grandparents and at home!!
We are so blessed that we get to have family time with everyone during the holidays. The boys are lucky little boys to have all that love surrounding them.  We enjoyed opening presents, playing with new toys (or in Aiden's case dressing up in new clothes), and eating yummy food. Here are a few snapshots of our good times!

Cowboy boots and overalls... say whatttt!?!?!?!

Aunt Ashley and Mommy are bad influences sometimes :)

He asked for an accordian. Ask and you shall receive! ;)

They both got camo pants and Aiden put on Emmitts by accident.  Haha

 HA!

Merry Christmas to all from Aiden's one-armed Santa!

Other December happenings.

 Aiden does mommy's hair.

 Lilly snuggles with a blanket.

Aiden's obsession with permanent "work" markers continues.

My boys continue to be adorably cute.

Aiden's drama side is full steam ahead.

It snows a tiny bit and the boys love it.

Mommy tries to make up for not making/decorating xmas cookies by making homeade playdoh.
Not sure what E is doing here...

Snuggles at the finest.

Never a dull moment in our house!

Bragging mommy... begin now.

Our smart little 4 year old :)  He loves to add with his fingers.  Usually he gets it right, which is why this video is so funny :)

He has been saying his ABC's since before he was 2 and counting since he was 18 months, so this is nothing new.  But I love that he is taping himself. in these :)

We did it!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone, Happy Birthday Jesus, and smiles all around!

15 months and counting..

Well we certainly don't have a "baby" anymore :(  This kid is developing at a crazy rate and its a love-hate relationship for me. Here are some fun things he is doing:

*The big thing that started happening almost exactly on the day he turned 15 months is his talking!  He is repeated pretty much everything and even if you can't understand him he tries :)  Before this it was "hot", "dada", "Aiden", and several more words like this.  Now its, "please dada", "moo cow cow", "pancake", and he makes all sorts of animal sounds too!  This list of words he is saying is too long to list, Im so proud of this little bugger. Its absolutely incredible to see this happen literally almost overnight!  It makes our life a little easier too, him being able to tell us what he wants, needs, etc :)  Check out this adorable video of him letting us all know what a cat says....

And of him admitting to opening Aunt Ashleys present...

*Still a climbing fool.  He now carries the bathroom bench around so he can get to higher places. He has started to try out "running" too. He puts his arms straight out to the side and goes as fast as he can. Its comical.

*Smiing.  Like all the time.  :)

*Chipmunk laugh.  Those of you that have heard it know what I'm talking about. Its amazing.

*Playing with Aiden.  He has always loved watching Aiden, but now he really gets into with him.  Chasing him, being chased, playing hide and seek.  Its fun to watch.. although 90 percent of the time it ends with one of them getting mad for one reason or another. That probably won't change huh?

I can't even tell you what a happy boy he is.  He brings SO MUCH joy into our every day.  All you have to do is look at that smile, those dimples, his eyes, and you are hooked :)

Here are some pics of this month 15 with E.

He got tubes in his ears on December 30th.  We had to wake him up at 6 to get to the hospital by 6:30, for surgery that started at 7:30,  and he couldn't eat or drink anything... and he was still as happy as could be :)  Now after the surgery was a whole other story!  He was MAD! We were home by 8:30, he took a 2 hour nap, and after he was up he was back to his normal self.  Crazy how quickly the surgery came and went.  His doctor was amazing and we are happy we did it.  Crossing our fingers it helps this little guy avoid those monthly ear infections from 'hear' on out ;)

He still loves the outdoors.. much like his older brother!

Even behind those binkies he shows off that smile :)

Hide and Seek is a favorite game.  He will say, "Hide, hide, hide, hide, hide" and run to hide.  He especially loves to hide with someone under blankets and have another person find him. He gets so excited. haha.

He got the ipad/phone for the first time several weeks ago and its been quite the obsession.  He just follows you around and says.. no yells, "Games, Games!!"  He doesn't know what he's doing yet, but he does try.  :)

He especially loves the app, "Talking Tom"... for those of you not familiar, its a cat that repeats what you say in a high pitched voice.

Its so hard to believe that this was one year ago..

And now we are here:

Love you "baby"
