All sorts of cuteness happening here

In between (and during) all of the silliness and dress up, I have a couple super cute kids :)

Even his little butt crack is cute!!

 Happy Valentines Day!

 Cute dog. Hehe.

Come on a trip with us...

Going anywhere is always an adventure when Aiden is involved. :)  He makes sure he is wearing at least a little bit of his own choice wardrobe anytime we leave the house.  Church is usually the only time I get to pick everything (although he usually takes something in his pocket or the car of his choice).

I remember before Jeff and I had kids we would always giggle at the little kids at the store who were dressed up in their halloween costumes in the middle of summer.  :)  Now I have THAT kid... and I LOVE it. Here are some golden pics to show you what I mean...

On our way to Sarah's baby shower. Boys all cute and cleaned up.  Aiden sneaks his fire boots on right before we leave.

Von Maur.  Running down the aisles in his spiderman gloves and fire hat.
Then Grammy got him a new watch and so it was spiderman gloves, fireman hat, and the watch.  And oh how he checked that watch.

 Hy-Vee.  7:00 AM.

Trip to Hy-Vee again.  "Mom it's beautiful out there!"

Emmitt doesn't pick out his clothes yet (he would choose naked anyway), but he does make things "interesting" in his own way when we are out and about.
Take this for example: Von Maur, Mother's room to nurse.  This is all that happened....
"I want down.  I want down. I want down. I want down. I want down. I want down."

"Hey look at this little boy.  He's so cute.  I'm gonna get him!"

Silliness and Dress-up

Silliness
Our lives are full of it.

I tell Aiden to eat over the book so he doesnt get crumbs on the bed.  He eats like an inch away from the book. So literal, hehe.

He wasnt ready to put his shovel away. So he decided he would just shovel water.

Just chillin in E's bumbo eating crackers...

Got new minion underwear.....

Getting dressed with Aiden: Enough said.

 Aiden's regular attire.

 He even sleeps in it.

 ....

My kids are nothing short of awesome.

Fire Chief.  Another one that makes a regular appearance.

Also add Halloween socks to this outfit.

He makes his friends dress up when they come over. Even if they don't want to.

He left the deck for 2 seconds and comes back out wearing his swimming trunks and singing about monkeys.

Honestly.  This kind of outfit doesn't even phase us anymore.

I absolutely LOVE it! :)

Aiden puts on his work face (and clothes) when he has jobs to take care of...

What you can't see is the mud ALL over the deck...

Let him out of your sight for 3 seconds... seriously.

The mud from above turned to dirt so he got out the broom and cleaned it up.  While wearing his swimming trunks and goggles of course.

This is the kind of stuff I love finding around the house.  I walked into the bathroom one night and found these layed out just like you see in the picture. It made me giggle. :)

Silly or not silly; that is the question.

Aiden got a terrible haircut so I got out the scissors to fix it when we got home.  I ended up not cutting anything because it was too far gone, but made the mistake of leaving the scissors on the counter while I went and nursed E.  Jeff took his eyes off Aiden for a minute so the following happened...

Aiden walks into E's room.  Mandy looks at Aiden and sees that Aiden is somehow missing hair.
"Aiden did daddy try to fix your haircut?" Mandy says.
"No, I did!  All by myself!" Aiden says triumphantly.
"Ummm." replies Mandy. Then she bursts out in a fit of laughter which causes her to start laugh-crying.
"Mom, Im so sorry, don't cry." Aiden says when he sees the tears rolling down his mom's face.
"No Aiden, I'm not sad.  I love you."

I love our life. I love that it is full of silliness and dress-up and crazy antics.

Our boys: 6 mo & 3 1/2 yrs

 Emmitt: Half a year!!

It's hard to believe its been 6 months already, however it feels like he's been with us always. Emmitt is such a happy, happy baby.  Smiles like crazy, and is pretty content with whatever.  Although he is developing likes and dislikes and lets you know if he dislikes something!  For instance, putting onsies on him...  He yells at you.  Sleeping... He doesn't do it.  But there are only a few things he doesn't like so overall, very happy boy :)  He is definitely beginning to move around more.  He gets himself on his tummy almost always and then scoots himself around like crazy.  And quickly!  There have been a few times he has been up on all 4's and started rocking, but no crawling yet. He is trying with all his might to get himself pulled up on furniture. We still think he may bypass crawling and just start standing and walking.  He LOVES to "walk" around and be standing.  Probably his most favorite thing to do.  Although he really loves his baths too!  He gets so excited when we are running the water and just splashes and plays in there.

He is not a big fan of sitting (see picture below).  This kid wants to catch up to his big brother as soon as possible!!  He absolutely loves Aiden.  Watches him like a hawk and if he is ever a little testy all we have to do is call Aiden over and his mood is instantly fixed.  The bond developing between those two is incredible.  By far the greatest thing about being a mommy....watching my babies love each other :)

E loves to be vocal now.  He enjoys yelling, spitting, saying "Da-Da" and "A-den" and lately "H-iiii".  We really think he is saying Aiden.  He only makes that "A-den" or "Den" sound when he sees his brother.  :)

Solids are a big hit with him.  We do breakfast, lunch, and supper.  So far I have to say bananas are the favorite. It's becoming harder and harder to nurse this little man because he does not have the time for such silly baby things.  He has places to go, people to smile at.

Besides not sleeping for naps or nighttime, he is a pretty easy baby.  Happy and smiley.  It's only been 6 months, but he has already brought us so, so much happiness.  Even Aiden is really starting to take a liking to him :)

(I gave him a toy to get him to at least sit for a minute.  He does love his toys!)

Loves to have that mouth open wide!!

I want to MOVE!

Sitting up like a big boy :) This was a big milestone for him in the last several weeks.

Favorite thing to do..

Aiden: 3 1/2 YEARS!
This kid.  He. Is. Awesome.  He is smart, funny, witty, passionate, stubborn, brave, dramatic, sensitive, bull-headed, and loving.   He climbs on everything.  Jumps off everything.  Tests the limits on everything. And gives the best hugs. :)  His brain is a steel trap.  Once something enters... it does not leave!  He loves music.  He sings and dances to anything from Singing in the Rain to Timba to Justin Beiber. His imagination is crazy awesome. He loves to dress up as Spiderman, Firemen, Police Men, farmers, and construction workers. Spiderman is his number one fave right now though.  He dresses himself most days and it is seriously awesome. Check out my next post, Ill prove it to you :)

Aiden challenges us every day, but he has the qualities of a leader, a trail-blazer.  He is going to be something big when he is a man.  Guaranteed.

He also, much like his little brother, does not enjoy letting his parents sleep.  But also, much like his little brother, has brought so, so much joy and happiness into our lives.

My heart is full.
